Day and Night Quilt

I may be crazy for doing this but I do like a challenge!!!! The finished quilt will be 40X52....manageable, I think! I'm using 2 batiks and a Michael Miller Krystal for the 'pop!'

Catching up!

Shame on me! It's been over a year since I last wrote on my blog! It's been a busy one so I guess I shouldn't feel bad. My machine quilting business is taking off at a pace I am comfortable with. I continue to make quilts and take classes. I started working at Wish Upon A Quilt, an online/retail quilt fabric shop here in Raleigh, a few months ago. I love it! The staff and owner are all wonderful, creative ladies. New fabric and patterns arrive almost every day which is both a blessing and a curse!! It feeds my creativity but I end up with more fabric and more projects that I want to complete! I'm putting together outlines for a couple of classes to teach there too!

Fabric Shopping

Last month I went up to New Jersey to visit my daughter. While she and her youngest brother were off skiing, I treated myself to a day of 'quilting' in Lancaster County, PA and the surrounding area. I went to 9 fabric shops, one quilt shop and one quilt museum in a little over 24 hours!!!! Not bad! The Amish country was just beautiful, rolling hills and large farms. I even got to see a few snow flurries!!I managed to bring home a large tote full of fabric as well as a stuffed rooster made by an Amish lady from scraps of a 1920's navy and white star quilt. I can't wait to go back!
